The Light of a New Day

Light of a New Day was my first attempt to paint the Grand Canyon. It has won a number of awards since I painted it. The painting won an award of Excellence in the Sierra Pastel Society annual member show in 2017. It also gained Best Pastel in Plain Air Magazine's bi-monthly Salon Competition in April 2017. This painting was one of 116 chosen for the Strokes of Genius Book published by North Light Books in November 2018.
